I've had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember. What started as a hobby became a passion and somewhere along the way the passion became my career - one I've now been living for over 20 years.

These days I work across a wide range of commercial photography, but the thing that's never changed is how I approach it. I'm a perfectionist by nature, which means I care deeply about the details - the light, the composition, the tiny things most people won't consciously notice but will absolutely feel. At the same time, I've learned that the best images come from people who feel at ease, so half my job is making sure you forget the camera is even there!

When I'm not behind the lens, you'll find me at home in Te Awanga - probably in the garden, planting something new for the birds or whatever wildlife has decided to make itself at home. The beach is right on my doorstep, and I never tire of walking it, there's always something different to see - a shift in the light, the tide, the season. It keeps my eye sharp and reminds me why I picked up a camera in the first place.
